First Sign of Trouble
The Sweatt's were in North Florida in October when they received the first email from John Glenn. They are listed in the order as received. The highlighting points out certain statements and inconsistencies made by John.

October 1st. 2013
Hey George,
Just wanted to give you a heads up.  I haven’t been able to pay the ranch
payment for October yet.  It is now overdue with little prospect for getting
it paid next month either.  You will probably be getting a notice from the
bank soon.  The offerings for Alpha Ministry have dropped off nearly 50%
and Alpha hasn’t been able to pay the $5000.00 lease for the last year or
so.  Sandi and I have not received a regular salary for months now and are
not able to make up the difference anymore.  I was counting on the sale of
the property in Ft. Pierce to get us through for a while, but that has fallen
through as well.
What I hear God telling me is that we are done here.  I don’t want to be
irresponsible with our bills, but I don’t have the money I need to pay them.
The only thing I can think to do now is to try to sell what assets we have,
including the ranch, to cover what we owe.  Let me know your thoughts.
I’m not expecting you to fix anything and I do appreciate how the Lord
used you to get it started here.  I don’t want the bank to come after you so
I need to know you are willing to list this property when I can.

Hey George;
Good news!  It looks like the Lord is providing a way to continue the
ministry here.  I have a commitment from Norman Hales (through John) to
buy the back 100 acres from us for $4k/acre ($400,000).  Elton and Tom
have agreed to go together and buy the front 30 acres for $6k/acre
($180,000).  That leaves 8+ acres in the middle that includes my house,
grandma’s house, the building, and the RV park.  The Alpha Board agreed
today to buy that property for the remainder of the note we have at the
bank which would be somewhere around $60,000+.  I’ve talked with Miller
at First Bank and he is willing to accept payment from Hales and Tom and
Elton against our note and refinance the rest with Alpha Ministries.  If this
all goes through there would not be any noticeable change for the people
coming to the Church in the Woods or the outside community.  The
ministry would continue and set up for phase two (building housing for
overnight retreats) when the Lord provides the resources.

Hey George;
Things are crawling along here.  Tom and Elton are working with Miller to
get their applications together and Richard Mixon is working on the legal
descriptions we need for each parcel.  As soon as we get those, Hales
volunteered to have his attorney draw up the contracts for each piece.  I’ll
keep you posted on the progress.  The guys all seem relieved and excited
about the ministry going on here and whatever the Lord has for the
future.   John
