SST Custom Fabricators
Some of the items fabricated in our plant.
It will be two years next month since we installed the Tracker CNC table. Of all the tools and machines we have ever used, the Plasma table rates right up there at the top in usefulness. There are few days that it is not cutting something. Many items are not practical when fabricated in the usual way. The time spent building something from stainless steel, aluminum or carbon steel would not be cost effective without the table. Not a week goes by that we don’t discover some way to use it to build a part for a walk in customer or how to use it to speed up production on an existing part. The table will handle 5 foot by 10 foot sheets of any kind of metal. We can also attach a oxy-acetylene torch in place of the plasma when cutting thick metal of 1 inch and over. We can attach a zip saw to the tool holder and turn the machine into a sign cutting system. We lay a sheet of 1 inch insulation on top of the steel slats then the sign board material goes on top of that. This allows the side cutting bit in the zip saw to extend through the sign board and cut into the top surface of the insulation but not hit the steel slats. I’m sure we’ll find more and more ways to make use of one of the most unique machines I have ever Had the pleasure to own.
